Father’s gift from China

November 10, 2008 at 3:11 pm (Asian culture, Family & Friends) (, , )

Father came back from his trip to China this weekend (‘The King has returned’). You get approx 10.5 yuan to the pound. Your pound goes far. And considering most stuff is manufactorered there, its all cheaper than chips. You all know this anyway. I know this. The King knows this.

Father bought me a gift. Although, this gift was so cheap, it was free. I guess it should be that he ‘brought me a gift’ and not ‘bought me a gift’.

He brought me back a pair of hotel slippers.

I think the correct term would be

    he ‘stole’ you a gift.

    or maybe

he ‘stole’ you a ‘used’ gift. because I doubt he had two pairs of slippers in his room

u get slippers free at hotels.
but yeh i guess they must be used..never thought about that. urgh. i think he has athletes foot. but the slippers are very comfy. i think i’ll still wear em, even if theyre used and fungified.
